The ROMER Omega portable CMM is a complete entry-level 3D scanning inspection and reverse engineering system that you can take anywhere. The complete system including the computer weighs less than 20 pounds, and is available in four sizes, ranging from a 6 foot to 12 foot measuring envelope. The system is equipped with PC-DMIS Reshaper software, which allows users to quickly digitize objects with the R-Scan laser head, and convert point clouds to mesh models and STL files, or compare to CAD models for a “weathermap” type inspection. PC-DMIS Reshaper is easy to learn and use, and will also import 3D files from other sources besides the arm.
